Tempered glass is thermally treated glass that is heated to approximately 630 °C and then rapidly cooled. This process makes it significantly stronger than conventional glass. After the treatment, further processing is no longer possible. In the event of breakage, tempered glass shatters into small, blunt fragments, reducing the risk of injury.
