Productdescription
The ROUND+RAIL glass shelf consists of a traditional glass shelf made of tempered glass* and the RAIL wall upright in matte anodized aluminum. The combination of straight-edged glass and cool aluminum adds a contemporary, stylish flair to your home and offers an element of sophistication for dramatically displaying objects, home accessories and lighting. The edges are high-gloss polished with gently rounded corners. The wall upright can be used with or without end caps (approx. 0.04 in per side).
Tempered glass is thermally treated glass that is heated to approximately 630 °C and then rapidly cooled. This process makes it significantly stronger than conventional glass. After the treatment, further processing is no longer possible. In the event of breakage, tempered glass shatters into small, blunt fragments, reducing the risk of injury. It has been used in the automotive industry for decades and also provides reliable protection against cuts and impact injuries here.
